We often end up comparing ourselves to someone else’s highlight reel, forgetting that it’s just a snippet of their reality.

It’s like looking at a beautifully curated Instagram feed and thinking, “Why isn’t my life that perfect?”

Take my reels, for example:

1. I spend an hour on a full face of makeup, carefully concealing imperfections and accentuating my features.

2. Freshly done hair, styled to perfection, but trust me, it almost never looks like that in real life.

3. Strategically placed professional lights, to create that flawless glow.

4. At times it takes me 17+ drafts until I capture the right one. And even then, I sometimes wonder if it’s good enough.

5. And let’s not forget the teeth whitening & skin smoothing filter

But behind every polished post lies a real person with flaws, insecurities, and moments of doubt.

It’s okay to show our best sides, but let’s not forget that everyone has their behind-the-scenes too!

So next time you find yourself scrolling through social media, remember that what you see is just a curated version of reality.

Embrace your uniqueness, imperfections and all. That’s what makes you beautifully human. 💫
